New Delhi: Delhi Finance Minister Ashok Walia Tuesday inaugurated the seventh edition of Pamex 2010, an expo on Indian printing and allied machinery industry.
The three-day event showcases cutting-edge technologies from global solution providers, across categories from pre-press to post-press.
"The Indian printing industry has grown by leaps and bounds and with the advent of new technologies, printing quality has seen marked improvement. People from other countries have started getting their material printed in India," Walia said.
He also said the Delhi government would support future projects of the All India Federation of Master Printers, organisers of the event.
Federation president P. Chander said his organisation would set up "centres for print excellence" in Bangalore and Noida to nurture skilled operators.
