Sun, 07 Feb 2010 11:12:00

New Delhi: Delhiites Sunday saw a misty morning and the weatherman forecast rain towards the evening that could bring the chill back to the national capital.

"There was partly cloudy sky early morning. There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in the evening and night," an official at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The official said that showers are usual for this time of the year and nippy weather follows mild rain spread across a week or two.

During the day, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 28 degrees Celsius and the minimum is likely to be around 14 degrees Celsius.

"The minimum temperature recorded Sunday morning is 11.8 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees above average for this time of the season," the official added.
