New Delhi: Four teenagers blamed for 25 incidents of robberies and carjackings at gunpoint in just one month have been arrested from nearby Gurgaon in Haryana, Delhi Police said Thursday.

Sanjeev, 19, Saleem, 19, and two juveniles were caught from Sector 21 area Wednesday. They had spread terror in Delhi and Gurgaon.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Delhi) H.G.S. Dhaliwal said the accused tied to escape in their Santro car but were overpowered.

"They had wreaked havoc in Delhi and Gurgaon by looting cash, jewellery, mobile phones and vehicles from innocent people at gunpoint. In one month, they committed 25 robberies and carjackings," he said.

"In many incidents they shot the victims mercilessly without any provocation. In some incidents, they kept the victims hostage. They dumped them later in isolated areas," he added.

According to police, the gang was involved in the loot of an ATM machine from Gurgaon and car from a relative of a Delhi High Court judge in Dwarka in southwest Delhi.

The police recovered eight mobile phones, two home-made pistols with four cartridges, six ATM cards, a Santro car, a wrist watch, a gold chain, a gold ring, a gold bracelet and a camera from them.
